Horse Medicine Pathways offers experiential workshops bringing the natural gifts and sentience of horses together with people seeking to transcend life-challenges and increase their feelings of well-being.
Horses are natural teachers. They are sensitive to non-verbal communication and to human emotions. They help us to remember how to be grounded yet alert and how to shake off stress and come back to inner calm. They reflect back what they receive from us and hold a safe, non-judgmental space for mindfulness and healing.
Over millions of years, as prey animals, horses have evolved to be incredibly intuitive and masters at perceiving and interpreting energy. They are wise, compassionate and powerful teachers and through their behaviour they act as brilliant mirrors for us, demanding our authenticity and reminding us to stay in the moment. Through deep heart connection and reflection, a horse partner offers us the possibility of transformation.
Horses naturally bond and partner with human beings. They have been doing it for tens of thousands of years. It’s an honour to be able to do this medicine work with horses and to learn from their natural wisdom.
When we make connections with horses they increase our oxytocin levels (bonding), and lower our cortisol levels and blood pressure levels. Studies show that partnering with horses can reduce anxiety and depression.
Horse Medicine Pathways workshops are fun and wonderfully unpredictable. They provide unforeseen gifts and new understandings about our life journey. In addition to the benefits of working with horses we provide guided interactions with the natural environment. These nature activities bring us to a place of being in the present moment, fostering connection to each other through shared experiences and to the more-than-human world through sensory interaction. In that there is magic and mystery.
Horse Medicine Pathways workshops are offered by Facilitated Equine Experiential Learning (FEEL©) Certified Practitioners. Nature based activities are offered by a Forest Therapy Guide certified by the Association of Nature and Forest Therapy Guides and Programs.

Three days experiencing connection in the most amazing ways with some incredibly wise and intelligent Horses has been a life changing event for me. The physical setting was like being in the middle of a magical forest. The horses knew exactly what I needed in order to awaken my innate healer. All I had to do was relax, breathe, and let them lead me through the healing process. By the end of the workshop, I felt like a newly born person physically, mentally and emotionally.
